BARBADIANS ARE ATTRACTED to bargains and weddings are no different.
And the second annual Affordable Weddings Showcase, held in the Grande Salle of the Tom Adams Financial Centre yesterday, attracted a steady stream of wedding hunters searching for tips on how to make their big day a memorable one.
Event planner with Affordable Weddings, Lynel Giles, said they had set up 14 booths to give patrons ideas on wedding invitations and everything in between, right down to the food served at the reception.
“We have a few small business companies that are working in the wedding industry, and we’re doing lots of games and activities this year. Last year we did a fashion show, but we decided to mix it up today and make it more personal,” Giles said.
