Winter is here, but even the coldest snow couldn’t stop me from daydreaming about spring! The first flowers, the green grass, that pale blue sky…these natural pastels are what inspired 2015’s wedding colors. The King of Color, Pantone, calls the palette “En Plein Aire,” or “In the Open Air.” So how will your favorite dresses look in these soft shades? Below are a few of my favorite gowns designed in the top hues for 2015. Perhaps these spring bridesmaid dresses will help you through the winter blues.
Spring Bridesmaid Dresses: The Top 3 Colors to Consider
There’s nothing as beautiful as the spring sky, right? Why not bring it to your big day? Pastel blues are hot for next season’s wedding party attire, and many of my favorite designers have styles in these fresh shades. Most ‘maids love chiffon, and it just so happens that this fabric complements the airiness of these pastels.
Springtime is nothing without fresh blooms! Bring them into your big day in more ways than one way with soft blush bridesmaid gowns. This gorgeous hue brings a fun pop to your ceremony, and looks beautiful with khaki suits on your groomsmen. Shades of pink have been in the mix of wedding trends for a few years now, but it looks like they’re here to stay in 2015.
Many brides are selecting neutral tones for their bridesmaid dresses. I love the overall look and the way it complements the wedding gown. Cream, beige, and ivory are timeless. They can be so flattering on almost every skin tone, which your ladies will love. Pantone proves my point with their Color of the Year: Marsala. Marsala is an earthy tone made up of rich red-browns. It’s the base of their Color Report, and proves that nature is the number one inspiration for spring 2015 bridesmaid dress colors.
These three colors are beautiful options for your bridesmaid gowns. They’re sure to chase the winter blues away in style.
